Welcome to Somerset Consolidated and another great school year! I look forward to sharing a wonderful year of learning with you. Our teachers are always looking for new and creative ways to engage our students and get them excited about learning. We have high expectations for all our students and in order to ensure that this happens we will need a combined effort between students, teachers, administrators and parents.
As the new school year begins, let’s work together to create an environment that will provide each student with the positive support and instruction that they will need to have a successful school year. I want our students to enjoy coming to school each and every day.
I feel it is important to develop and maintain positive communication with our parents and promote family involvement throughout the year. It will be a pleasure to have the opportunity to invite families back into the school after the restrictions we faced over the past two years.
Parents are essential to the success of their child. They are the first to know whether their child is enjoying school, whether their child needs special attention in a specific subject or whether their child’s relationship with a friend is affecting their academic development. Please don’t hesitate to share any concerns you have with your child’s teacher. Our commitment to your child is genuine and the teachers’ interaction with you is essential to your child’s education – both academically and behaviorally.
